The creation of images of deities, the development of music and dance, the formulation of many Yoga systems, the various kinds of rituals festivals and so forth are there only by way of allowing the individuals to seek out TRUTH in their preferred ways.
A person is allowed to DANCE in accordance with rules if that is his way of experiencing BEING and understanding deep metaphysical truths. This also goes for metaphysical systems, the various darsanas : an Agamic Hindu is allowed the FREEDOM to formulate his own Darsana and debate with others in accordance with LOGIC to assure himself that he is right and so forth. Even here there is FREEDOM for he has the right to deconstruct any darsana again in accordance with LOGIC.
No darsana is sacrosanct - only what is not deconstructible is Siddhanta – the TRUTH.
