Dr Sivakumar explains the major defect of modern science, whereby a living being with a soul is not differentiated from a non living object. Therefore modern science cannot fully address the existential struggles of living beings . He brings to light Agamic Science as an alternative, a science developed and perfected to great heights by the Tamils but has remained unknown to the world. This Agamic science recognises the existence of a living being and differentiates living beings from non living objects.
Generally in most Indological studies, the Tamils contribution hardly gets noticed, due to political reasons or by accident. Most of the studies are Sanskrit orientated and even if some Tamil contribution gets highlighted, the credit goes as Vedic and Sanskrit origin.
Agamis science, as we are developing now as a species of hermeneutic science, has been perfected by the Tamils since the days of Meykandar ( !3th century ).
